Daytona Beach, FL – (August 6, 2026) – Avalon Park Daytona Beach announced today that it is voluntarily dismissing without prejudice its complaint filed on June 9, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Seventh Judicial Circuit in and for Volusia County, FL against the City of Ormond Beach and the City of Daytona Beach, following several weeks of productive collaboration between the parties.
Avalon Park Daytona Beach is pleased with the progress made through recent discussions and appreciates the cooperation of both cities as all parties continue working toward a responsible long-term utility solution for the region.
Avalon Park would like to thank mediator Terry White, as well as the utility departments of both the City of Ormond Beach and the City of Daytona Beach, for their time, professionalism and continued work throughout this process. Their efforts have helped move the discussion forward in a constructive way and support the shared goal of reaching a win-win-win solution for Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Avalon Park Daytona Beach and, most importantly, the taxpayers.

Pursuant to Sections 367.031 and 367.045, Florida Statutes, and Rule 25-30.033, Florida Administrative Code, Avalon Park Utilities, LLC has applied on July 1st for original certificates to operate a water and wastewater utility in Volusia County.
