Daytona Beach, FL (October 12, 2026) – Avalon Park Daytona Beach is moving forward with plans to break ground in January 2027. Initial site work will cover 750 acres, approximately one-quarter of the overall project, with plans for homes, 100,000 square feet of retail space, including a grocery store, and an education village.
Avalon Park Group has been working with several partners on a specialized K–12 school, supporting its vision of a community where education is an integral part of daily life. Additional details will be announced as planning and partnerships progress.
This development update comes as the federal court denied the City of Ormond Beach’s motion to dismiss the pending lawsuit.
Avalon Park Group remains committed to working with Ormond Beach, and all stakeholders, toward a mutually beneficial resolution. In a good faith effort to continue those discussions, Avalon Park Group has offered an informal stay of the lawsuit, including discovery, through January 4, 2027.
“Our plans for the January groundbreaking are coming together, and we look forward to working with all stakeholders to build a community where people can live, learn, work, and play,” said Beat Kahli, President and CEO of Avalon Park Group. “We will have more exciting news to share as we get closer to January.”
